Associate audio or video files with the keys of JingleWin interface and the application will play the multimedia files when the keys are pressed. The keys can be pressed using the mouse, the keyboard, or a connected keyboard. This is what you can expect to get from JingleWin, a key multimedia jingle player offered by Jean-Pierre Cocatrix.

Get the JingleWin installation file, run it and you will be presented with a setup wizard that asks you to choose between two supported languages, English and French, and to pick one of several installation types: typical (the most common options), compact (minimum required options), or custom (you can pick and choose). You will be done with the whole thing in little time.

The application’s interface looks like a keyboard. To the left there are sliders for the rate and volume, above the keyboard there are playback buttons, and in the upper right hand corner there’s a button for accessing the Configuration window. Overall, it is an intuitive layout that you will immediately feel at home with.

JingleWin works like this: assign a media file to a key and when that key is pressed, the media file is played. Say you assign applause.mp3 to a key; when you click that key with the mouse or use the keyboard to play that key, JingleWin will play the mp3 file assigned to that key.

JingleWin is not free, it is only free to try: a reminder will show up after 10 keys are played.

JingleWin blends together the functionality you would expect to get from a media player with a piano keyboard.

Pros

You can install JingleWin in English or French; there are several installation types to choose from. JingleWin interface is user friendly and intuitive. The application comes with a few handy samples. Easily assign media files to keys. Multiple instances can be grouped.

Cons

A reminder shows up after 10 keys are played.
